Just last year, Xiaomi launched its smart bracelet called Hey Plus Smart on its Youpin platform. This smart wrist band had a better NFC capabilities and a larger display screen than Xiaomi’s other smart wrist band, The Mi Band. And this year only a few days ago, Xiaomi introduced the successor of this successful smart wrist band to the Chinese market.
Unlike its predecessor which had an elliptical display screen, The Hey Plus 1S has a more cornered shape giving it’s display an extra rectangular look. Its display is screen has the AMOLED technology with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass. A 0.95 inch screen size with 228 pixels per inch resolution colour display makes it a front runner in terms of smart wrist band displays. Interestingly, this year’s smart MI Band 4 picked up a lot from last year’s Xiaomi Hey Plus and this suggests that may be the next smart band in Xiaomi’s MI series will also pick up features from this year’s Xiaomi Hey Plus 1S, at least in terms of shape and design.
It incorporates all the convention features of a smart wrist band including steps, heart rate sensor, exercise, distance covered, sleep monitoring and calories burned etc. This smart wrist band is water proof up to 50 meters down in depths of water.
Xiaomi has always set a benchmark for battery life in its wearables, specially its smart wrist bands and It us continuing to do so with the Hey Plus 1S as well. Thanks to a 120mAh battery, Its power lasts up to 18 days between two charges after just two hours of charging.
Xiaomi Hey Plus 1S is available for pre-order in China for a US equivalent of $25 only which is quite impressive considering all the high end feature’s it offers. Although the international launch of this smart wrist band has not been talked about yet by any of the official sources of Xiaomi.
