Huawi has officially stated that it is going to unveil its much awaited Watch GT 2 in Indian Market on the 5th of this month. This will make it the first smartwatch to be released in Indian Market that carries Kirin A1 for its processor. Apart from this, the smart watch also has a bezel free display and a gigantic battery life that lasts a fortnight.
Watch GT 2 was originally released along with Huawei’s Mate 30 smartphone series. As many reports suggest, the watch has enjoyed a fair share of success in the market. It managed to sell over a million units across Chinese and European Market during the first month and a half of its release. However, this smartwatch has shown some glitches in its software during some tests but it will most likely be taken care of very soon.
Two size variants of Huawei Watch GT 2 were released to the market. The larger version has a diameter of 46 millimetres while the smaller version takes up only 42 millimetres. It was launched in 3 style editions initially: Elite Edition, Classing Edition and Sport Edition. Elide edition has a metal band while Sport edition has a silicon band and Classic Edition comes with a leather band. Consumers in India will be introduced with Sport Edition in 42 millimetres size while other two style editions will only be available in 46mm size option. This should not be a much of a problem as the smart watch comes with an option to change or switch straps.
Watch GT 2 also encorporates a Kirin A1 SoC processor under the hood which was developed by Huawei itself. Except for Watch GT 2, this processor has only been available in Honor MagicWatch 2 and FreeBuds 3 so far. Indian consumer will be able to buy this new smart watch from Amazon and Flipkart starting from December the 5th.
