TomTom, a big name in the Smartwatch world, has launched the Golfer 2. The Golfer 2 is a successor of the Golfer which was made public, last year. With a new design and pretty amazing features, Golfer 2 is a solution of all the Golf players’ worries.
Coming to the features, the Smartwatch is still the same with signature features. With a GPS, you have abilities to note your distance etc. What’s more is that the watch also maps out all the details related to the potential haphazard and provides you with a digital scorecard. There is a Bluetooth with the database of 40,000 golf courses. There is a gyroscope along with an accelerometer; these features let you feel vibration whenever you have pulled a great shot. You’re free to take practice swings and it won’t register those as shots as scores are recorded automatically.

TomTom Golfer 2 also provides you with analysis after each round. In order to get the details, you will have to opt for the TomTom MySports app. From there you can zoom into different holes on the course and see shot patterns and where you have dropped shots. The app also boasts shot dispersion. It means that if you have played a hole many times, you can easily understand when you are tilting more to the left and can improve your mistakes over time. You can even play a perfect shot. Automatic detection is not new but TomTom believes that it is not about completion but about bringing the best.

There are still some software deficiencies with the Golf watch. We can expect to see some big changes in the future. However, According to Andy Clayton, category sales manager at TomTom better sensors are coming our way soon. He refrained from commenting on anything related to software.
“With the gyroscope, you only have to look at some of the swing analytics that is currently being done. That could be a direction. But we haven’t quite defined the roadmap just yet.”
TomTom Golfer 2 would be launching officially in May for £199.99. Details for the other countries are not revealed yet.
