Verizon has launched the 2nd generation in line of its GizmoWatch, which is a smartwatch for kids. The second generation of this smartwatch costs almost half of what was on the price tag of the original GizmoWatch.
Verizon is the largest telecommunication brand based in United States as of now. It is leading the charts ahead of T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T. These brands have also unveiled children smartwatches as well. WatchMeGo was launched just recently by Sprint with GPS connectivity. Timex Family Connect is another smartwatch which is powered by T-Mobile.
The second generation of GizmoWatch by Verizon costs $99 only which is impressive considering the fact that its predecessor costed $179. It also beats Timex FamilyConnect and WatchMeGo as well which cost $192 and $144 respectively. Oddly, the original GizmoWatch was released in 2018 and it still gets to keep it expensive price tag.
Second GizmoWatch has a larger battery life and a better performing Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2500 32-Bit, Quadcore 1.2GHz processor. It also has a bigger display screen with 300×300 dimensions and 303 pixels per inch resolution that spans over 1.4inches. The band material in this smartwatch is also improved as compared to its predecessor.
GizmoWatch 2 carries two-way voice call and messaging support. It also has built-in GPS, 4G LTE connectivity, water resistance of IP-67 rating, 4GB ROM and other cool features like sending emojis and voice recordings.
Safety feature on this smartwatch are the major point of focus. The GPS connectivity allows you to know the location of your kid any time. Geofencing features notifies you everytime the kid wanders outside a safe zone predefined by you.
This smartwatch can also save as many as 10 contacts and quick dial them in the time of need. This smartwatch can even be programmed to automatically answer after repeated unanswered calls. This smartwatch can be purchased from Verzion’s official website for $99 only.
