Stepp Smart Running Wearable, which made its luck through Kickstarter, aims to reduce the runners getting an injury through over-running, hyper training, or any other way and provides them an instant feedback through biometric functions.
As per the claim by the company, Stepp is capable of providing the world’s most cutting-edge, concurrent digital running coaching platform. It is perfect for all kinds of runners; be those hobbyists, professional runners, or coaches themselves.
Stepp is a three-parts wearable that is attached to your running shoes, as well as, your waist. The motion sensors are capable of finding out the exact movements and notions of the lower body. It can track the balance between your feet, strike type, stride length, foot contact time, impact force on feet and knees, swing speed, and foot contact angles.
Apart from the casual running metric calculation, the waist clip monitors the tilt and movement of the hip as well as the other metrics caused by the hip positioning.
There is also a digital coach that provides the users with complete assumptions about their running and how they could improve it more. Stepp’s live coach will provide all the information related to performance, data, fatigue alerts and posture correction; when headphones are connected to the attached Smartphone. It is compatible with both Android and iOS.
Stepp is also water resistant with the IP68 rating. It has a battery life of 6 hours with wireless charging. Stepp is expected to be dispatched around June-July, 2017 for the price of $199 USD.
