Snap has unveiled the third generation of its smart glasses that look no different than our usual sunglasses. These glasses are equipped with two High Definition Cameras which will let the users to film the surroundings in 3D.
Snap is clearly far from giving up on its idea of smart spectacles and its all of its products are better and more futuristic than their predecessor. Snapchat Spectacles 3 are the most elegant looking smartwatches in this series with their sleek design and a compact look.
According to a statement released by Snap, these glasses are crafted with precision from a single sheet of stainless steel. Stainless Steel is known for its high strength so these glasses must be really strong. The lenses in these spectacles are round the frame is very light in weight as it sits perfectly on the nose of the wearer.
These spectacles come with two High Definition Cameras that sit on the opposite sides on the front of the frame right next to the lenses. These cameras are capable of recording the video in 3D as they have depth sensing feature which senses the depth of the wearer’s surrounding. This done by measuring the distances between objects surrounding the wearer and the wearer himself.
“We’re putting it out there with the goal of learning about some critical things,” a spokesperson from Snap stated. “We’re not trying to sell a billion of these.”
The videos and images captured on these spectacles are synchronised wirelessly to Snapchat Memories. User can apply 3D effect on videos and do more from there. Even the photos could be turned into GIFs with these effects. These spectacles record a minute long, 60 fps, 1216 x 1216 pixels video with just one tap of a button and it carries a 4 GB internal storage. This storage lets it hold on to tons of photos and videos at once.
