When i first looked at Samsung Gear S2 and it’s features, my first reaction was is that the birth of the Samsung wheel inspired by Apple’s own click’s wheel; Did Samsung actually took a page from Apple history and applied cleverly to their 2015 line of products. No matter what, I hope Samsung has patented this idea because it’s a clever one! It solves the problem of moving between the menu’s on the smart watches because many have tried touch screen and some have tried to use the small nob on the side of the watch.

By now, you must have watched seen the reviews and videos so we will not bore you with similar content. It looks similar to any other modern smart watch like Moto 360 but the operating system is not Android Wear but it’s Samsung’s very own Tizen. Tizen make full use of the circular design making it more appealing than any other circular smart watch we have seen. Don’t worry, it will work well with Android smartphones and the apps are being made compatible. Operating System is not the only thing that is co developed by Samsung itself but the processor used is Exynos 3250 (1.2 Ghz) manufactured by Samsung itself as well.
The Gear S2 also contains all the required sensors thus can target all the health conscious folks out there and why would they not target, consumers don’t want to wear a watch and a tracking device at the same time if they can similar functionality from one device. Will this kill off any starters or new comers in the market?
Samsung have spent some time designing Gear S2 and we think they should be immensely proud of the design. We won’t be surprised if Gear S2 becomes the market hit instantly at-least until Apple launches Apple Watch 2 or Apple Watch 2S.
According to Sammy Hub, the South Korean tech giant has apparently confirmed the Gear S2 price as 349 euros ($388) in Finland and 2,599 kr ($308) in Denmark. On the other hand, the Gear S2 Classic price has reportedly been set at 399 euros ($444) in Finland and 2,999 kr ($355) in Denmark.
Only time will take if Gear S2 is a hit or a miss!
Btw, if you guys have missed on the review, The Verge have reviewed it which you can watch after the break.
