Recently, the news about the Samsung Galaxy 4 official release has been leaked out. Most probably, it is estimated that by the 11th of August, 2021, the crowd will be able to witness the reveal of this smartwatch. Since it has popped up in the FCC database, it means its launch date is not far away.

As far as we have got to know, the design and specifications of this new Galaxy 4 are somewhat like the previous models. And this one’s set to run on Google Wear OS 3.0. With dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, this watch will also allow online payments to be done by the user. It will support wireless charging and GNSS receivers that also points out that there is the possibility of a GPS tracking system also.

 

The company has listed four different models. The SM-R880 and SM-R890 numbers are related to the two versions of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. Whereas, the SM-R860 and SM-R870 models are tied to the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 4.

According to Google, the new Wear OS 3.0 will merge elements from Samsung’s Tizen platform with Wear OS and software from the newly acquired Fitbit. This means improvement must result as far as the health and fitness sector is concerned. Also, there will be better watch face creation tools for developers. Apps by Google, like Google Pay and Assistant, will be rebuilt and that will result in some new widgets also. According to the grapevine, these watches will launch in 42mm and 46mm case sizes.

An event for the unveiling of Samsung’s new gadgets might occur somewhere at end of July, but the final reveal of Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 specs and features will be evident to us only in August.
