Realme Planning to Launch a Fitness Tracker This Year

Chief Executive Office of Realme India, Madhav Sheth, has hinted the possible release of a either a fitness tracker or a smartwatch by Realme early this year some time during its first half.

Madhav revealed this information in a monthly podcast and according to him, Realme want to establish itself as more than just a smartphone brand. A lot is being anticipated by the customers and experts of wearables and smartphones industry as one of the markets where Realme will try to establish itself and leave its mark is the market of fitness focused smart wrist bands, which will be unveiled to the world in coming months.

“We have got some outstanding products in our portfolio, like the Realme Buds Wireless, Realme Buds Air, and the power banks, and even Realme PaySa as a financial app. You will see many more products coming soon…. ” Madhav Sheth says. “Talking about the fitness band, I will definitely say it is in the works, and you might see one in the first half of 2020”

Realme was originally a sub-brand under the umbrella of OPPO Electronics Corp. initially for almost ten years before splitting from it back in 2018. For now Realme has quite a few smartphones under its name in addition to power banks and earphones.

Although, Realme does not have any presence in health and fitness wearables market as of yet but the brand looks ambitious towards leaving a mark and making its presence known to the world as a competitor in this space. The upcoming Smart Wrist Band by Realme is expected to a lot similar to the latest Xiaomi Mi band. The initial release will make it available to the consumers all across India but as the brand is trying to make an international presence, it is safe to assume this smart wrist band will be pushed for an international launch.
