Realme has officially launched its Smart Watch, the Realme Watch S, for consumers across United Kingdom and the rest of Europe as well. Prior to this, it was already launched for Asian consumers a while back.
Realme launched on other smart watch earlier this year as well which shared a close resemblance to Apple Watch but its spec sheet, on the other hand, had very few things in commo with the Apple Watch. Now Realme Watch S bares very little resemblance as it comes with a more circular watch face and the differences just do not end there. It has a 1.3 inch large display screen of 360 x 360 pixel resolution with pixel density of 279 pixels per inch. All this on a AMOLED display screen with touch interface. An added layer of durability is added by the presence of Corning Gorilla Glass.
Four color choices are available in silicon bands that measure up to 22mm. The overall dimension of this smart watch ranges from its 12 millimeters of thickness to its 47 millimeters diameter and all this weigh 48 grams. All these dimensions make it considerably large as compared to the standard size of smart watches available in market at the time.
Inside this smart watch as wide range of sensors are incorporated along with a heart rate monitor, light sensors, 3-axis accelerometer etc. All the usual health tracking and fitness activity monitoring features are available, thanks to the presence of above-mentioned sensors. Users can access information regarding their distance covered, calories burnt, steps count, sleep detection, SpO2 measurement, heart rate and more. Hydration reminders, activity tracking and alerts are also available as well. All this on top of 16 sports modes makes it fairly reasonable contender to be used as a smartwatch for casual health monitoring and fitness tracking. However, it only carries IP68 rating for water resistance.
This smart watch is launched at the price of £74.99 (nearly $100) in Europe. Users in United States might have to wait a little as there has been no official statement yet about the launch of this smart watch across the Atlantic.
