PUMA Launches the First Waterborne Polyurethane Soccer Cleat

PUMA is here with its latest soccer cleat and they are beyond phenomenal. It’s like PUMA ha incorporated all amazing technologies in one set of cleat and the result came out to be exceptional.

To start with, “evoPOWER Vigor 1” is the first ever cleat manufactured with INSQIN waterborne polyurethane technology in collaboration with the bigshot polymer company Covestro. INSQIN is responsible for reduced impact and enhanced sustainability and durability of the pair along with maintaining the innovation.

Secondly, the pair of cleat is manufactured with 95 percent less water, 50 percent less energy and has 44 percent lower carbon footprint, as per an independent environmental study from Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).

Along with this, PUMA’s latest cleat comes with Accufoam technology. It has three-dimensional, diamond shaped dots called Topaz-DOTS on both sides of a spandex upper material. The dots and coating technology has been made possible in collaboration with Trans-Textil. It adds comfort, kicking accuracy and force to the cleat.

According to Matthias Hartmann, Teamhead Material Engineering Innovation Footwear at PUMA, “The Accufoam upper enables exceptional comfort and outstanding precision when kicking the ball powerfully. It also contributes to the innovative styling of the boot. This is why many football players — amateurs and professionals alike — are very keen to play in these shoes.”
