Polar V560, Polar’s Red Dot award winning cycling computer, is famous and well-known in the cycling world. To gather more audience the company has partnered with Strava for two new bundles, the Polar V650 HR Strava, and the V650 HR Combo Strava.
The Polar V650 HR Strava has an H6 Heart Rate Sensor and is priced at $270. On the other hand, the Polar HR Combo Strava includes Polar Speed and Cadence Sensors and is priced at $320. Anyone who grabs a bundle before April 30 will get two months of Strava Premium free. And counting the cost of the Strava, those ordering will be saving, at least, $80 over buying each piece separately. Similarly, the polar bundles offer a lot of discounts too.
Coming to the Strava first, its premium membership allows the sweat analytics like Suffer Score and past stats view (free accounts are current week only). Users also get to see personalized feedback from Carmichael Training Systems and McMillan Running. Both are the big names in coaching services.
Additionally, the V650 is a mid-range bike computer from Polar. The features provided by the device are, however, more than mid-range. There is GPS along with a barometric altimeter that let the V650 display altitude and VAM (vertical average mileage, or average ascent speed) as well as all the usual stats like speed and distance. It integrates with Polar Flow, the Web service where users can manage their fitness profiles across devices and link them to other services. The Polar flow helps in route guidance for the cyclist. The feature was announced in January this year.
Polar Flow allows users to download and follow routes other Flow users have recorded and shared. You can also follow your own personalized, recorded courses. The V650 holds up to 20 courses at once, syncing easily from the user’s Favorites list in Flow on the Web. The touch screen will also show favorite ways, cadence, speed, distance duration, and power, etc.
With the average price tag, the amazing features offered by the Polar range with Strava as a cherry on the top is a must-have for all the cycling lovers.
