The news for the release of 2nd iteration of Magic Watch 2 was just made official by Honor. Honor, which itself is a sub-brand of Huawei, will launch the Magic Watch 2 for sales on December 12, 2019 in certain regions. This brand new smartwatch brings in itself a round display and GPS connectivity.
Honor released a teased based on the theme of Halloween only a few weeks ago for this smartwatch. After this teaser, a lot of rumors and leaks made their ways to the news sources. Now, Honor has made an official statement regarding the release of this smartwatch which suggests that it will be launched alongside Honor V30 smartphones.
The original Magic Watch was released in China around a year back and only a few months later it was launched in Europe as well. It was very similar in appearance to Huawei Watch GT but with a simpler, more compact look and a smaller price tag.
Magic Watch 2 has much similar design to its predecessor with its circular display, and two buttons on its right. This smartwatch has two size variants and it is crafted with 361L stainless steel. Larger variant is 46mm with 1.39-inch display and weighs not more than 41grams with a resolution of 454×454 pixels. The smaller version however has a 42mm diameter and it weighs around 29grams. Its display is 1.2-inch in diameter with a resolution of 390×390 pixels.
Both size variants are water resistant up to 5ATM of pressure and have GPS built inside them. Apart from this, both versions of the smartwatch also carry some a few sensors as well which perform the function of activity tracking and heart rate monitoring etc. Along with this, it also has 15 exercise modes as well.
Honor MagicWatch 2 run on LiteOS operating system. It is the same operating system that is being used in Watch GT 2 as well. This ensures an unparalleled battery life as the 46mm variant runs for as long as a fortnight.
Honor MagicWatch 2 has only been launched in Chinese market for now but soon it will make its international debut on 12th of December this year.
