Fitness trackers and smart watches have always been helpful to keep a record of heart rate, but a recent study shows that monitoring heart rates from different parts of bodies can vary and yield different readings.
For the almost perfect integration of heart rate monitoring into everyday work out regimes, HeartLn brings a smart clothing solution priced at 139$.
According to co-founder Oleksii Vinogradov, it was his dream to provide a mass market diagnostic device. People don’t want to go through traditional monitoring, so he wanted to completely disrupt that market and provide people with a good opportunity to think about their health in a comfortable way.
Electrodes which are connected to the smart-HeartLn-tshirt work down on sides of rib cage and torso, transmitting to a small sensor on left shoulder.
The collected ECG readings are then synced with the smartphone and help to track training intensity, stress levels, and workout goals. Alongside, the device can also help to detect abnormalities like atrial flutters and fibrillation; a leading cause of death.
HeartLn promises to produce results correct up to 99% which can have benefits in medical field as well.
Vinogradov said that the company already has a campaign goal of 15000$, the device will be open for orders soon with the expected arrival in November. The connecting apps are already developed for both Android and iOS users.
With all these developments, HeartLn appears ready to add a new dimension in the most accurate form of heart rate monitoring.
