The Google Pixel watch has been long overdue. Rumors for this watch began sometime in 2018. Even now that 2021 is here, no official announcement for its launch has been made. An educated guess has however been made about this issue and according to that, the release of this watch may be with Google Pixel 6 launch at the end of this current year.
Since it’s a smartwatch by Google itself, we expect to see Wear OS at its fullest potential. Google is working hard upon it and we are petty sure it will be a high-end watch. It will be the latest upgrade of technological schemas.
We talked in our previous article about how Google has signed a Google Patent, that patent allows the usage of a gesture control system to perform the required action. You can move your elbow or finger or raise your wrist to launch Google Assistant. With the same arm on which you are wearing this smartwatch, you can use that to perform the required action. According to an estimate, we might see this gesture control system in this upcoming smartwatch. This will surely make it different than the rest of the lot in the market.
Google has recently conducted a detailed survey regarding the features people would like to see in their smartwatches. Most people preferred fitness-related features that would also monitor their basic health habits. Hence, Google will definitely try to incorporate features like SPO2 tracking, sleep monitoring, heart rate monitor, stress tracker etc. After all, Google has also taken over Fitbit, and together they will come up with the best fitness-related features in this new tech gadget.
Since the Google Pixel Watch will most likely run on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon Wear 3100 Chipset, battery life will be much more than expected. Uncontinued performance with basically no interruptions will be the best quality of the smartwatch.
Another report from an unknown source tells us about a code named “Blackghost” which is a power management circuit built into the chipset. The presence of this code will let the watch listen out for voice commands.
DESIGN OF THE GOOGLE PIXEL WATCH
With a circular shaped dial, the Pixel Watch is simple and elegant. With a bezel-less and button-less top, it only features a single crown on the right side. Looks more like an analog watch, Google has preferred to stay with a minimalist design this time.
