A brand new bracelet has hit the markets that reduces your addiction to the screens. This bracelet called GetTM is designed specially to tackle the problem most of us have in this new age of technology. This bracelet brings authentication via fingerprints, bone conduction technology, voice command control, payments and much more in it.
We are surrounded by screens everywhere as the technology has taken a leap forward in twenty first century. From smartphones to computers, televisions, smart watches and tablets, we have so many screens in our lives that the event of us not looking at a screen has become a rarity. Even the billboards of this age have screens now. GetTM is a crowdfunding initiative that tries to tackle this problem with it’s screenless wrist wearable.
This wearable by GetTM is a combination of a wrist band and a smartwatch which allows you to listen to texts messages and audio content in discretion. You can even answer phone calls with the help of a microphone and bone conduction. For those of you who are not aware of this, Bone conduction technology vibrates bones in your head and around your ear to send sound to the inner ear. This also saves you from the hassle of untangling and then plugging in your earphones. All you need to do is lift your finger and take it to your ear.
The bracelet can also store details of credit and debit cards and even incorporates an NFC microchip which allows you to make many kinds of online payments without any difficulty.
Fingerprint sensor, controlling mobile phone applications with smart gestures, receiving notification and getting directions with the help of vibrations and access to virtual assistants like Google, Siri and Alexa are some of the other notable features that make this bracelet a really interesting concept. This take on screenless interface seems to have a lot of potential but it is yet to be seen how the public reacts to it.
