Garmin revealed new Golf trio; Approach G10, S20 and TruSwing

Garmin has been really serious, recently, when it comes to golf products. The company has introduced three separate wearables to rock your Golf game. While, two of the recently unveiled wearables are the successors of the Garmin “Approach” lineup, the third one is a Golf accessory.

The Approach  are the followers of the previously launched, S6 and the G8. Both of the wearables are meant to provide compatible and stable information to the players, when they are in the course. On the other hand, TruSwing is an accessory device that will be clipped to your Golf Clubs. All of the Golf wearables were unveiled at the PGA show in Orlando, Florida.

Let’s focus on the Golf wearables trio, separately;

TruSwing

TruSwing is not a typical golf wearable and neither is it meant for you. The device is designed for the Golf Clubs of all the serious golfers. TruSwing is basically a sensor that calculates your swing data and sent to you immediately. You can receive the data either on Garmin Connect app or to any other Approach device.

In order to improve the form and swing functioning, the users can view their swing metrics. The compatible Connect App will display the 3D animations of the swings and will also save the way each swing was played.

The device weighs around 28 grams and is IPX-7 waterproof. TruSwing can run for 12 hours straight on a single charge. It is expected to launch in this quarter for $150.

Approach S20

Another device of the lineup is the amazing Approach S20. The device is a Smartwatch which offers to activity tracking and Smart Notifications, apart from the Golf analysis. The Watch keeps on motivating users to remain active throughout the day. It also calculated activity tracking, Distance traveled; Calories burned and counts steps etc.

On the golf sector, it comes with more than 40,000 pre-loaded golf courses around the world. Moreover, with the help of “Autoshot feature” the Smartwatch records the distance and the location of each shot. It also provides the users with information on yardages to the green and course targets. The wearer can view all the concerned data on Garmin’s Connect app.

The battery life of the watch is eight weeks in watch mode with activity tracking and smart notifications and with the GPS mode on it can work for 15 hours. The Smartwatch is waterproof up to 50m. Approach S20 is expected to launch in February, 2016 with the price of $200.

Approach G10

The Approach G10 is a little GPS device for golfers. Like the S20 Smartwatch, it also comes with 40,000 pre-loaded golf courses around the world. The device is clipped on you. It has four buttons for several functions.

The device provides with data relevant to the field and helps course targets like sand traps and water hazards. It has a built-in odometer which will calculate the distance covered. The clip-on device is also IPX-7 waterproof. It has a battery life of 15 hours in GPS mode. Approach G10 costs $130 and is expected to release around the end of this quarter.
