Galaxy Watch Active 2 by Samsung: Leaks and Specs

0

After a very successful run of Galaxy Watch Active, Samsung is about to release its successor to the market. A new render of this successor has been leaked online. A 44mm dial black variant is shown in a leaked photo online along with a 40mm dial variant in rose gold.

Original Galaxy Watch Active was announced this year back in February. The second generation to this series has an even sportier appearance. It also is smaller in size than the original Galaxy Watch Active and it doesn’t have any trademark bezel. The weight of Galaxy Watch Active 2 is also reported to be lighter than the original Galaxy Watch Active. The heart rate sensor, accelerometer and gyroscope are still there and stress monitoring through the day is also expected to see the light of the day in this upcoming smartwatch by Samsung. Blood pressure measurement, which is only an experimental feature so far, is also going to be present in Galaxy Watch Active 2.

A few changes have been made in the design too including the bezel which is expected to be touch sensitive now for more streamlined scrolling through the options on the watch. The power / home button is round now with a red circle surrounding it. Underside of the watch will also have a heart rate sensor with a round rim around it.

Most interesting aspect about the release of Galaxy Watch Active 2 is that it is going to be unveiled in two size variants. Larger variant of Galaxy Watch Active 2 is going to be around 44mm in size while the smaller version will be 40mm. The original version of Galaxy Watch Active only comes in 40mm size although the Galaxy Watch is available in both 42mm and 46mm dial sizes.

It may sound a little far fetched to expect the Galaxy Watch Active 2 to be released before this year ends, but this is what it has been reported so far.
