Exciting Smartwatches Expected To Be Launched This Year

Trends suggest that 2020 is going to be a huge year for wearables electronics industry. Major part of this industry is engaged by smartwatches of all kinds ranging from luxury to midrange and even budget smartwatches.

Amazfit and Xiaomi are stepping out of China with global release of their smartwatches which were already available to Chinese consumers. This is putting a certain amount of pressure on other competitors of the market in general.

Xiaomi Mi Watch

Xiaomi’s very own, Xiaomi Mi Watch is available for purchase in Chinese market for quite some time now. However, there is no confirmed date or time as of yet for an international release. The watch is going to see the light of the day in European and American market for sure but nobody knows when.

This smartwatch costs a mere $185 and carries many high end specifications including AMOLED Display, 44mm watch face, 410 x 410 pixels resolution with 326 pixels per inch display.

On the inside, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 3100 and runs on WearOS. WiFi, GPS connectivity, heart rate sensor are also present in this smartwatch as well.

Xiaomi Mi Watch Color

Xiaomi Mi Watch Color, which costs only around $198, resembles the Xiaomi Mi Watch only in terms of its name and the similarities stop right there. Mi Watch Color has a round watch face and a smaller 1.39 Inch AMOLED display. 454 x 454 pixels resolution give it a very sharp look.

A heart rate sensor inside this smartwatch supports activity tracking for up to 10 sports activities. It also has water resistance rating as it can be submerged under 5ATM of water pressure. It runs on a customised OS based on WearOS. All of this complements the 14 days long battery life.

Amazfit T-Rex

Amazfit is working hard on developing its sports wearables. Amazfit T-Rex is one of the initial results of this hardwork. This smartwatch boasts a display of 1.3 inches. It also supports more than 20 hours of GPS connectivity and a battery that lasts almost 3 weeks. This smartwatch is developed to compete with the likes of Garmin’s Fenix 6.

This smartwatch only costs $140 for now but the Amazfit products are not very popular when it comes to accuracy of their sensors.

Amazfit Bip S

Amazfit Bip S appears to be an Apple Watch clone at first glance but it has more of a plastic build which soon gives it away. Water resistance in this smartwatch has stepped a level than its predecessor.

Amazfit Bip S is water resistant up to 5ATM and its battery lasts as long as 40 days. This smartwatch also has a heartbeat sensor and GPS connectivity. This smartwatch will only cost $70 on the time of its release in United States which is pretty exciting news for budget smartwatch users.

Withings ScanWatch

Withings ScanWatch comes in two size variants. Larger version has a 42mm diameter, which costs $299, while the smaller version, which costs $249, spans only 38mm. It has a PMOLED display which shows information refarding heartbeat, notifications, steps and ECG instructions.

Withings ScanWatch keeps track of up to 30 sports activities. GPS is not built inside it but the watch gathers GPS information from a connected smartphone.

Skagen Falster 3

Falster 3 was showcased in CES2020. It improved its features as compared to Falster 2 including battery life and power consumption. It can be taken for a swim to as much as 30 meters underwater. The strap is also made of silcon-mesh which makes it more comfortable to wear. It only costs $299 in Skagen.com

Suunto 7

Suunto launched its first smartwatch at CES2020. This smartwatch, called Suunto 7, runs on WearOS and works as a sports smartwatch. It has all the Google features along with GPS connectivity and 48 hours long battery life.

AMOLED screen display and elegant build make it one of the top competitors ins global smartwatches market.

Diesel Fadelite

Fadelite is a relatively smaller smartwatche by Diesel with its 43mm screensize. Its straps come in four colour options and it offers perfect opportunity for fitness enthusiasts to track their activity in style. It only costs $275 and can be expected to be seen in US market by March, 2020.
