Elephone- as the name suggests, seems like would be some new upcoming Smartphone. But it is rather a stylish and impressive looking smart watch coming very soon.
The Elephone ELE Smartwatch has a round and large display of1.5 inch with 320 x 320px resolution. It consists of a TFT without any flat tire design issues, which Motorola could not resolve for its watches. It has one of the biggest round screens on the smartwach ever designed.
The watch is based on MediaTek’s MT2601 system-on-chip (SoC). The MT2601 is MediaTek’s first processor especially designed for Android Wear. It has a tiny dual-core Cortex-A7 chip with Mali 400 graphics, clocked at up to 1.2GHz. It additionally has 4GB of storage too.
ELE has a smart metal casing and is water resistant (IP67). The strap for the watch is replaceable metal link or leather wrist strap and it weighs around 60 grams. The manufacturer claims that the 400mAh battery of the watch can work up to 80 hours of standby time.
The watch also consist of a gyro and heart rate monitor. The connectivity is 802.11/a/b/g/n and it has Bluetooth 4.0. There are no GPS options available in the device.
Elephone ELE Smartwatch will is just priced at $115 and is substantially less than other round Android Wear watches, and it is also cheaper than the new Asus Zenwatch, which is probably the best buy in the Android Wear universe at the moment. The watch can be found on Gear Best. No release date has been announced yet.
