Amazfit will unveil an even lower specifications variant of Amazfit Bip S on the last day of April across China. This information was officially made public on Weibo just a few days back.
CES 2020 saw the unveiling of the Amazfit Bip S in the first quarter of this year. This variant of Amazfit Bip smartwatch has water resistance rating of up to 5ATM pressure under water along with enhanced Heart rate tracking and GPS chips. It also has new modes of exercise as well.
It was already known that a lite variant of this smartwatch was under the phase of development as the Amazfit Bip received its certification from Federal Communications Commission (FCC) just last month and along with it there was a mention of one certain Lite version as well. The original Amazfit Bip also had a Lite variant as well which lacked Geomagnetic sensor, Barometer and GPS/GLONASS connectivity as opposed to the expensive version which had all these features.
Until around a week or so ago, this entry in FCC logs was the only mention of Amazfit Bip Lite 1S that we had seen anywhere but since 23rd of April, Huami has been posting the posters on Weibo for the advertisement of this device and its launch.
The smartwatch is all set for its launch today all across China. Its body and appearance is exactly the same as the Amazfit Bip S, as observed from the photos posted online. This smartwatch also has only one button on its side just like its predecessor. According to some other reports, this smartwatch will run for 30 days after a full charge. NFC, Built-In GPS, Barometer and Compass are all there this time as well in addition to its impressive IP68 Water resistance rating. This smart watch will also have other features like support for SMS, WeChat and QQ.
