Garmin is set to introduce an entirely new product lineup into the tech industry. This year, in June, a US federal trademark registration was put in for the “MARQ” brand. The Garmin trademark, MARQ, is classified as Computer & Software Products & Electrical & Scientific Products/Jewelry Products.
Android Headlines were the first to discover the trademark which was published on September 19th having serial number 88017457. Devices under MARQ will include GPS capabilities and a comprehensive range of fitness and navigation sensors. The description regarding the product comments specifically upon the presence of an altimeter, barometer, temperature sensor, digital compass and wireless connectivity.
Sending and receiving texts, emails and other data from Android and iOS smartphones will be made possible, as expected, with the MARQ watches. However, it is not completely known that in which ways would the lineup differ from Garmin’s already solid variety of sports wearables.
The most recent product by the manufacturer is the Vivosmart 4. It is a fitness tracker, released earlier this month, which incorporates all the features present previously in the Vivo series along with a blood oxygen sensor and a new metric that provides numeric values of your body’s energy reserves.
It is quite certain that the company will decide to release the new lineup around a prominent industry assemblage. CES 2019 in January, Baselworld 2019 in March or IFA 2019 in September appears to be good candidates. Garmin is a constant at such kind of shows.
