This clone of Apple watch was amongst the three upcoming smartwatches to be teased at a Chinese event.

Huami has publicised the release of its brand now smart watch, Amazfit GTS. This smartwatch clearly takes its inspiration for design and make from the Apple Watch. The details of this smartwatch were made public by Huami in China at a tech event. These details confirmed that the face of the watch was going to be rectangular and it will feature a dial on one of its sides, just like the Apple Watch.

Furthermore, the Amazfit GTS is going to have a display screen of 1.65 inches with AMOLED Display and 341 ppi at 348 x 442 pixels resolution. This means that it has more pxiels per inch than the Apple Watch Series 4. The body of Amazfit GTS is very sleek and elegant looking too with its 9.44 millimetres thickness making it just a little thinner than Apple Watch series 4 and a lot less bulkier as it only weighs 24.8g.

The display screen has a Gorilla Glass 3 protection and the frame of the body is made of steel. There will be 40 options available to choose from for the face of the watch and this number may go as high as 100 after the launch of this smartwatch.

Amazfit GTS is also water-resistant and it can also withstand the pressure up to 5ATMs. Thus it can endure being submerged in water for as deep as 50 meters or 600 seconds, making it a perfect companion for swimming. Other noticeable features of this watch include an optical heart beat sensor which tracks the activity of the heart round the clock. This smartwatch also has a battery that can last longer than a fortnight as reported by Huami.

Despite having all these features, the Amazfit GTS can be pre-ordered in China for only $125. It comes in six variant based on colour and it is expected to be launched around the world by the end of September 2019.
