GoRout is the sole tech startup that deals with on-field technology combining intelligent software and on-field wearable products to enhance practice for high school, college, and professional football teams.
Currently, teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), American Athletic Conference (AAC), Canadian Football League (CFL), SunBelt Conference, and Big XII are using GoRout’s wearable display technology.
GoRout wants the NFL teams to try it out. According to GoRout CEO Mike Rolih their product has been proposed to six NFL teams at 1st and Future. The company then met with the teams at the Senior Bowl and two of them agreed to purchase their high tech wearable on the spot.
Rolih states, “This new technology will not only achieve perfection on the football field, but will also have a significant impact in the field of wearable technology. It is revolutionary. This new technology is sure to transform how teams practice and train their players for years to come.”
GoRout won Super Bowl startup competition last month in Houston. The competition assessed the startup’s capacity to enhance football for both the players and teams, to bring innovation to the game and to stay commercially viable.
GoRout is also expanding its human resources and adding more engineers and developers to their team. It is utilizing its Super Bowl grant of $50,000 for this purpose. It also won two Super Bowl tickets and access to key potential customers – the NFL team owners.
