Blaze had been Fitbit’s one of the most basic gadgets but not anymore! Fitbit has finally brought some remarkable features to Blaze with its new update, launched in the mid of March 2017.

Here’s a guide to added features of Blaze:

  1. Guided Breathing Sessions:

Blaze is the second gadget of Fitbit clan to feature this meditation session. It helps you relax with personalized experiences of deep-breathing sessions. The feature is called “Relax” in the app.

You will first have to sync your device with this feature then it’ll give you two choices – 2 min and 5 min breathing session.

  1. Cardio Fitness:

The feature first calculates your VO2 Max. VO2 Max is the maximum amount of oxygen that an individual can utilize during intense or maximal exercise. Based on this, it then calculates your personalized Cardio Fitness Score which tells you about your fitness level.

The Cardio Fitness Level ranges to excellent to poor. It is compared with that of the Fitbit community of your age and sex.

The feature will then suggest you appropriate workout plans to bring your Cardio Fitness Score within the healthy range.

 

  1. Sleep Insights:

The sleep insights feature will tell you the duration of your REM, Deep and Light sleep each night. It will also tell you the optimum sleep you need by tracking your activity and diet daily.

Although the updates have started to roll out to the users, Fitbit says it will still take a few more days to be available to all its Blaze users.
