Artificial Intelligence is developing at a rapid rate and has led to some great technological advancements. However, the visually differently-abled are still stuck with age old solutions such as white canes, guide dogs or the braille system. According to WHO statistics, there are about 285 million visually differently-abled people around the world. This number is expected to double by 2020. Ayata Intelligence has realized this problem and has come up with a Vishruti.

What is Vishruti?

Vishruti is the answer to a problem which was in dire need of a solution. It is a smart eye wear for the visually differently-abled. It uses Artificial Intelligence to assist the visually differently-abled in their daily routines hence improving their quality of life.

The integration of Artificial Intelligence helps the wearer in navigation and in facial recognition. It also enables the wearer to be able to search and manipulate objects.

How does Vishruti work?

Vishruti utilizes bone conduction headphones and a low power processor chip for computer vision and deep learning. A 2D camera has also been used in one of the prototypes and an advanced 3D depth sensing camera is planned as a further upgrade.

What makes Vishruti Different?

Vishruti is lightweight, user friendly and inexpensive compared to other solutions available in the market. It is one of the very few wearables that utilize the use of Artificial Intelligence to help the visually differently-abled lead an independent lifestyle while being connected to the digital world. It also provide real time and fast processing of data while also encouraging collaboration and sharing of said data.

Vishruti can in many ways largely modify the life style of those who are visually impaired. It is the perfect embodiment of seeing through listening. Planned feature upgrades promise an even better solution in normalizing life for all visually differently-abled people around the globe.
